Quality Control
China Loong Optical Fiber Co., Ltd. applies structured quality control throughout material receiving, production, assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment. Our procedures are designed to support consistent product quality across fiber optic connectivity products, passive components, network equipment, test equipment, cable management products, and wiring accessories. Inspection criteria are established according to product specifications, customer requirements, and industry-aligned practices.
1. Incoming Material Inspection
Raw materials and purchased components are checked before they are released for production. The scope and method of inspection depend on the product type and the importance of the material or component to final performance.
- Identity and documentation: Product descriptions, specifications, quantities, supplier information, and available supporting documents are reviewed.
- Appearance and dimensions: Housings, ferrules, sleeves, optical fiber, cable jackets, metal parts, plastics, and fastening materials are examined against applicable requirements.
- Key component characteristics: Relevant optical, mechanical, electrical, or material properties are checked when required by the product specification.
- Material control: Inspected materials are identified and handled according to their status to help prevent unintended use of nonconforming items.
2. In-Process Quality Control
Production processes are monitored through work instructions, equipment checks, operator inspections, and scheduled sampling. Key parameters are controlled according to the characteristics of each product, from fiber preparation and connector assembly to cable termination, enclosure assembly, and accessory manufacturing.
- Fiber optic assemblies: Fiber preparation, end-face condition, polarity, cable length, connector assembly, and optical performance are checked at appropriate stages.
- Passive optical components: Splitters, couplers, attenuators, adapters, and related products are inspected for configuration, interface condition, and performance subject to specified requirements.
- Distribution and protection products: Patch panels, termination boxes, distribution boxes, enclosures, and splice closures are checked for dimensions, assembly quality, component fit, routing space, and hardware completeness.
- Network and test products: Fiber optic modules, transceivers, network equipment, and test equipment undergo applicable functional and interface checks based on the product specification.
- Cable management products: Nylon cable ties, stainless steel cable ties, and wiring accessories are monitored for dimensions, surface condition, locking or fastening performance, and packaging configuration.
When an issue is identified during production, the affected material or product is separated for evaluation. Rework, replacement, or other disposition is carried out under controlled procedures before production continues.
3. Finished Product Inspection
Finished products are inspected before they are approved for packing. Inspection items are selected according to the product design, order requirements, and intended application.
- Visual inspection: Products are checked for cleanliness, workmanship, surface damage, correct color, legible marking, and complete accessories.
- Dimensional verification: Critical dimensions, cable lengths, connector types, port counts, and mounting features are verified where applicable.
- Optical testing: Relevant fiber optic products may be tested for insertion loss, return loss, attenuation, continuity, polarity, or other specified optical parameters.
- Mechanical and functional checks: Mating, locking, opening and closing, cable retention, assembly fit, and basic functional performance are checked as applicable.
- Configuration review: Product models, interfaces, wavelengths, fiber modes, polishing types, cable structures, and other order-specific details are confirmed against approved requirements.
Inspection and test equipment is selected according to the measurement task and managed through internal control practices. Test methods and acceptance criteria remain subject to the specifications of each product and order.
4. Packaging and Pre-Shipment Check
Packaging is reviewed to help protect products during handling, storage, and international transportation. Packing methods are selected according to product size, weight, fragility, and customer instructions.
- Product protection: Connector end caps, protective bags, cushioning materials, reels, cartons, and other suitable packaging materials are used as required.
- Label verification: Model information, quantities, product descriptions, and customer-specified labels are checked for accuracy and readability.
- Quantity confirmation: Inner-pack and outer-carton quantities are compared with the packing list and sales order.
- Order completeness: Accessories, mounting hardware, manuals, and agreed documentation are verified before the shipment is closed.
- Carton inspection: Shipping cartons are checked for suitable condition, closure, identification, and arrangement before dispatch.
5. Feedback, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement
China Loong Optical Fiber Co., Ltd. treats customer feedback as an important part of quality management. Reported issues are recorded and reviewed using available order information, inspection records, samples, photographs, test data, and application details. Relevant teams evaluate the cause and determine appropriate containment and corrective actions.
Improvement measures may include updating inspection points, refining work instructions, reviewing supplier performance, adjusting process controls, providing additional operator guidance, or improving packaging. The effectiveness of the action is followed up through subsequent inspection and production review. This practical approach helps us maintain consistent communication with international buyers and continuously improve products and manufacturing processes.
